Siete Orejas from San Juan...
Siete Orejas from San Juan Ostuncalco. You can see the old cone shape of this ancient volcano. An aparent ancient catastrophic event destroyed this mountain much like Mount Saint Helens or nearby Santa Maria in 1905. This northern slope would be the untouched side, the equivalent to St. Helens' south slope. This map shows the topography of the area. May 2001.
