South Aspect of Ant Hill

Seen from the parking area. Head up this formation. It's not hard to keep this at Class 3, but it's also not hard to suddenly find yourself on Class 5 terrain. This is not the summit. The real Ant Hill appears after you reach the crest of this formation. I found a cairn near its top. Maybe some labor up these steep slopes, see the steep south buttress of Ant Hill, and call it a day at that! Zion National Park, UT-- March 2013
