APPROXIMATE routes up Seaman

Based on most accounts Orange should be considered the standard route up Seaman, ascending the main and obvious drainage up the center of the mountain to ridge the ridge crest. The route up the drainage is bouldery and sometimes loose based on those accounts, then there is a little bit of scrambling to get to the true summit. Our route took us on a circular tour of the peak. We went up the route outlined as yellow up the Southeast Ridge. It's decent terrain until a few hundred feet below the summit. Then traverse north northwest then west along the upside down U shaped summit ridge is very rocky and has various degrees of scrambling, though you can avoid those sections somewhat by sidehilling through brush on the left of the rocky outcrops. Blue is the route we took on our descent, the Direct South Ridge of the highpoint itself. It has some very cool looking hoodoo/cliffs you can scrambling through, though those can probably be avoided by traversing left or right. From the BLM signed TH you can continue directly towards the mountain up and over a hill, then descend into a small valley. Or you can continue down the dirt track, now part of the wilderness and accessible via foot traffic only, right and descend gradually down into the same valley, where you can contour west to put yourself directly south of the massif
