Re: KarstHm? I don't know. It's wild and unexplored here, but I didn't hear of many very deep or very nice caves. You probably know that regarding deepness the best area is Kanin / Monte Canin, bhile regarding beauty the most famous are caves, where flowing rivers did their job.

Re: KarstAccording to my knowledge it should be a very promising area. How many rivers are in the area and what is the average annual precipitation.
You see, huge amounts of water have to be drained by cave systems. These horizontal systems should be rather deep lying and accessable via deep vertical caves.
