Some who report the standard DPS route (the "Wash Route") up Corkscrew Peak as being harder than Class 2 might do so because they climbed one or more of the dryfalls instead of finding a bypass. In the narrow section seen to the left here, there is a 12' dryfall that goes at Class 4. However, the bypass, though steep and loose, is seen here to the right.
