Re: Mmhmm.Hey Dylan,
I can't remember exactly what time it was, but this photo was taken just a few minutes after sunrise.

A new perspectiveThis is a new angle on Longs for me. Where is the Cables route? I'm assuming it's on the far left, but don't see anything that looks like two pitches of 5.4. Of course, 'it looks easy from here'... famous last words... Great photo!

Re: A new perspectiveto help with perspective, the vertical face you see upper left on the mountain is actually the Diamond. about 90 degrees to the right is the Keyhole. This photo was taken just below the Keyhole on the boulder field which explains its odd view of the Diamond.

Re: A new perspectiveRight. I'd figured it was something like that. So is that low-angle ramp right in front of the Diamond the north face route? Doesn't look so hard from here. I see all kinds of interesting climbing possibilities. Those slabs in the foreground look doable and there is a deep notch to the right of center. Perhaps I should spring for the RMNP High Peaks climbing guide...
