The approach to Elephant...
The approach to Elephant Butte along Sourdough Ridge passes many potential campsites, most better-protected than this little platform. Beyond is Davis Peak. The NE wall facing us is the only mountain in Washington with more than a mile of vertical drop in less than one horizontal mile, according to people who love to count contour lines.
