Giusto Gervasutti (Cervignano 17-4-1909 – Mont Blanc du Tacul 16-9-1946) was a great Italian mountaineer during the Sixth Grade Era. Also known as "Il Fortissimo" ("the very strong"), he climbed the most difficult and sought-after faces in the Western Alps. He fell during an abseil while retreating from the pillars of Mont Blanc du Tacul.
