Virgin Peak Trailhead

Virgin Peak Trailhead

This is the toughest section of the 4x4 road you follow to hike up Virgin Peak and therefore, by default, can be considered the trailhead. Virgin Peak is an approximately 4.5 mile hike from here. If you can make it past this spot, you can park 1.5 miles further up the canyon and turn a 9-mile round-trip hike into a 6-mile round-trip hike.

Great information!!!

I wondered where the trailhead was for that one. My name is Larry, and I have a brother who lives in Henderson. How far is Henderson from Zion NP? 250 miles, perhaps? Great, I didn't know there was anybody on here from the awesome land of Henderson. Take care!!!

Re: Great information!!!

Larry, Zion NP is 170 miles from Henderson. This trailhead to Virgin Peak is approx. 115 miles from Henderson. Another active SPer from Henderson is "Day Hiker" He's been some cool places - check out his page. Your brother's name isn't Timothy is it?

Re: Ah, Jeeps

I love my Jeep! It's a 2003 Rubicon. My 17-year-old daughter loves it too - thinks I should let her have it. So far, that's not gonna happen - but it's great for giving her an incentive to come along with me in the mountains (I offer to let her drive)!
