Wall Lake and Ampitheatre Peak

Wall Lake and Ampitheatre Peak

Wall Lake and Amphitheatre Peak as viewed from the Southeast. The south slopes of Ampitheatre Peak are gentle, but the north side is a huge cliff.

Very nice picture (!)...

...but a question: "Ampitheatre" would seem to be a misspelling of "Amphitheatre"--or is it a deliberately corrupt useage of the word (which does sometimes happen)?

Thanks, I'll fix it. I'm missing an "h".

Great Memories

First trip to wall was in '54 with dad and 4 of his friends with horses from trappers. Went back 6 times on foot with my best school friend, caught many natives with wet flies and X4 frog flatfish mostly at dusk and night, doesn't get too dark with bright starlight.sure would like a shot from NW side where I camped and it would show the reason for the name. Thanks
