Easy Walk Up from the Orange Trail
I returned via the Bear Trap Trail and the Peter Run Trail with the intention of hiking Opechee; I skipped it after several jeeps and ATV's shared the trail with me.

A rare VA peak with a survey marker! I climbed Waonaze as a loop that included Opechee Peak and Peak 2399.
Note: I couldn't find a side trail to the summit; I bushwhacked to and from it. Also, somebody has gone out of his way to put obstacles on the Massanutten Trail and the Bear Trap Trail. I was constantly having to climb over or duck under branches and trees that had obviously been felled across the trail deliberately.

Twice to Waonaze
My first trip to Waonaze was a cold winter day in February 2009. I took the Peters Mill Run Trail on the way back. I returned on warm autumn day this October. It looks like fall colors arrived a little earlier this year.
