ski trip
Myself and a buddy skinned into the south pine creek drainage and spent 3 days ski touring on the west and east sides of the range. Snow was icy and thin but the terrain and views were awesome. Signs of slab avalanche from earlier season but tests revealed little to moderate danger. Mosquitoes already starting to hatch above snow line, bald eagle checked out our camp, a couple rabbit tracks, no other animal signs above 6500'.
