Up and Down...
Climbing up its a bit of a slog, coming down its a bit of a slog - steeps most of the way though! Impressive views up to the Scafell Crags and down the length of Wast Water.
Me and Nigel climbed this way to compare it to the other side. It is shorter on approach and offers less veiws but is a fine route never the less to Scafel or the Pike. It would be more of a day out to return via Great End and down to Sprinkling Tarn. We were glad of the shorter day because of damp weather and high winds.
