Beautiful WaterNice shot - with Evan in the pic it really gives some perspective. Looks like Water Canyon is a great place to hike to!!!

Re: Beautiful WaterI honestly think it is National Park level beauty. It may be the prettiest 'town park' I have ever seen (it is tucked behind Hilldale, AZ).

Re: Beautiful WaterHildale is located in Utah and Colorado City is located in Arizona. Only the border separates them but they are basically one city.

Makes Me WonderThis does make me wonder how route-finding is for a first-time visitor. If I drive all the way to Southern Utah I just hope I can navigate my way up and through.

Re: Makes Me WonderYou will have no problem with Water Canyon, 99% is perfectly obvious. It is just this one spot in the canyon, which gives one an optical illusion that you are at a dead end, when a perfectly fine trail snakes around in back of where I snapped the photo. Even having read of this spot by other Spers, I was pretty fooled for a minute or two. Alas, I cannot speak of the route finding after one reaches the end of the canyon (the 'top of rocks'). Snowy terrain kept is from the attempting the rest of Canaan Mountain.
