MeltYou might want ot make the point in your overview that this glacier is disapearing very fast as is eveident in the two photos only 12 years appart. Though from different angles one can clearly see that the small glacier comming in from the right is no longer abutting the main icefield but has retreated well up its valley.
Actually a freind of mine who is a glacioligest loves SP since he can see the transformation of the peaks from many different points and over a good time.

Re: Von wo?The Photo was taken during a flight with a partenavia airplan in Summer 1999 at appr. 15´000 ft to get new pictures for creating a actual orthophoto map of the neighboring Vernagtferner. Please have a look at www.glaziologie.de.
