Those crazy Idrians. Did you get to the summit? I thought Clear Creek was closed indefinitely because of asbestos...?

Check out the note I put up under the San Benito Mtn page- on the drive in, a spur road to the R at one point (Clear Creek Rd, or something like that) is closed, while the main one leading to the "San Benito Mountain Conservation Area," or whatever it's called, is still open. Did the one mile hike to the summit from where I left my truck & back (although I could have just driven all the way up too).

Interesting. I got kinda PO'd when the closed the place in 2008 because it was just weeks before we were about to take a trip out there.
