Wasn't sure which one was which
I was on top of Baldy and West Baldy looked higher to me. When I got to West Baldy the error of my ways was apparent. Foot deep snow made the traverse fun.
I usually tag this one when going up or down the Bear Canyon Trail.

From the Village
Bagged it on the way back from Old Baldy. The ridge looks tempting...

4 peaks
Went up Ski Hut Trail to Baldy then made a side trip to West Baldy. A good spot to relax and get away from the Baldy crowds. Went back to Badly, then down the Backbone to Harwood, the Notch and then up Thunder and down the service road back to Manker. About 16 miles and about 5200 ft. gain.

Via Devils backbone
Great Climb and even better view! Started off icy but slushed up quickly. My first snow climb/solo/camping experience! Summited on 4-13-05 plus baldy and almost Dawson peak but turned around due to time and some late afternoon clouds moving in!

Winter Ascent
Took the Devils Backbone to Harwood to Baldy to West Baldy and back. It was one of the nicest days I've had on Baldy and I had it all to myself.

Did it once
I consider it even less of a peak then Harwood but did it from Bear Flat so that it would be official, don't see any other reason to go there.
Have climbed to it twice now, but don't really consider it a separate peak for Baldy. More of a bump on the ridge on the way. My $.02 worth..

Iron Mtn. Traverse
Did this as part of a traverse from Baldy to Iron Mountain. It was very cold on top that day!!

First time here
Always wondered what this one looked like, from on top of San Antonio. Since I was solo this weekend, I stopped by. Smaller but less crowded (deserted, in fact) than its trophy neighbor. Just as scenic. Didn't find a register or survey marker.

Combined with Baldy and Harwood
I figured why not. Besides its fun to sign summit logs.

traverse from/to Baldy
Hiked to the top of Baldy, saw the crowds, and immediately headed over to West Baldy. Nice and quiet.
From there, we headed back to Baldy, hung out for awhile, then walked east and out over Harwood, the Devil's Backbone, and back to the car at Manker Flats.
Great day out.

should have stopped by sooner
Left late sat night and camped at 8500' on the ridge from bear flat at 11pm. The city lights are amazing from up here. Spooked a couple of deer (?) all I saw was glowing eyes...hope they were deer. Up at dawn and on to the summit; tagged west Baldy and Harwood on the way to the notch. I have always bypassed these before and should have detoured long ago. Wimped out with my new boots and took the lift down.
Been here several times. Usually is fewer people here than on the main summit. Also have spotted a small herd of big horn grazing on the north face real close to the top on two seperate occasions.

First timeMy friends and I hiked from the ski lifts over Harwood and Baldy. I really found the view from this summit to be the better of the trio.
