Consolation prize as another team was on the Harding Route when we arrived. We ran up this, stashed our gear and returned the next day to bag the Harding Route.
I love every route on this mountain, especially the west ridge, which presents a challenging, remote, and beautiful approach. Thank you Eddie for leading the way. The summit register needs a new book if you are headed up there. :)

3-lead pitches then simul climbed
Fantastic day. The climb was everything I've ever heard about. This was my second attempt, the first being several years ago and we took the wrong west gully down off the plateau, that we were about 3-hours late to the base, and with intentions of pitching it all out, I decided to bail.
This time, was better! I lead the first and third pitches, and my partner lead the second, and all the subsequent simul climbing pitches. Was a true climb. So great to see folks soloing it.

linkup w/ n ridge
Soloed w/ Deron & Miguel. Expected it to be a bit more dicey, but it was fun none the less.
Solo'd with fossana and forjan "animal style" after a fun solo climb on the North Ridge. Passed two roped up parties. Learned a new word; "tourons"

fun but too short
Soloed the ridge in approach shoes at a very leisurely pace in 90 minutes. The 5th class section was enjoyable but much too short for the slogging/climbing ratio. Lost at least an hour by screwing up the approach and spent the better part of an hour kicking back on the summit; 8 hours car to car.

nice
Great rock, fantastic exposure, great route. 5hrs from Sawmill to summit via W. Ridge. Screwed up the approach (again) which cost me at least an hour. Still a killer morning out.
Long day out (14.5 hours). Great climbing ONCE YOU GET TO THE RIDGE! Miguel Forjan lead 3 pitches and we simul soloed the rest (at times 3 abreast). 25 climbers summited via the West Ridge today.

Roped up every pitchI got lost in the dark, wore to many cloths, roped up on every pitch, and had a grand time.
