mcdonald mtok , i hike this mt or around at least once a week, it is a great place to take my dog. There awesome views! I very rarley run into people but it does happen. you mentioned, another way to get there is to go to Courtney lane, i highly recommend you dont , i took a wrong turn on a trail and ended up coming out on this guys property, and he came unglued , telling me it was private property and so was the road with the yellow gate! so i called my husband to come and get me cause i dont live far,the man was telling me he was not responsible for what happens to me , i applogized profusely, said it wouldnt happen again.HE WAS REALLY MAD ! Please dont go that way, hes a nut to put it nicely.Go the kent-kangly to dnr gate 701
