This is a very informative page with lots of good links. It's the best mountain page I've seen so far. The only reason I voted 9/10 instead of 10/10 is that I haven't seen enough to say it's the best ever.
Well, out of 44 "10-star" votes, your vote is the only one less than 10. Since you've only been a member for THREE DAYS, I would appreciate it if you would delete this vote, then spend some time on the site learning what constitutes a good mountain page before voting on it. Then, any time you vote less than 10 stars, it is appropriate to tell the page owner what is needed to bring the page up to a 10-star vote. Please delete your vote and come back and vote again when you've "seen enough." Thank you.
Just in case others are interested in the Kachina>Wheeler section, I have an old report here (sorry; I gave up on the 10 minute/picture process for uploading pics to SP a long time ago):
We did the Williams Lake Trail in early June and were surprised to see 2-3 ft. of snow from the parking lot all the way up to the ridge. The zig-zags were not visible so we followed existing footsteps pretty much straight up the hill. Tough climb but a beautiful, clear day and views forever. Great hike. An avalanche had cut across the valley about 1/2 mile from the parking lot and wiped out about 100 yds. of trees and blue blazes. So we had to find the trail again on the other side.
