Where's the filter?

In the 70's we didn't use water filters. Almost everyone carried a Sierra cup attached to their belt and just dipped right from the streams. No giardia in those days. Of course, today, I use a filter.

I remember

Dean,

I remember the days when a tin cup out of a stream in the Central Oregon mountains, it tasted sooo good and didnt have to worry about getting sick.

Cheers

Re: I remember

Or maybe we DID get giardia but since it only affects a rather small percentage of the population we never felt any ill effects? I understand that even if we aren't affected with symptoms, we can still carry the parasite and pass it on to others. Not sure how accurate that is, however. -Bob

Re: I remember

Delta is now one of my favorite towns in Utah but I know that has no relation to your name. Delta is the gateway to the neat western Utah desert country. I think I still have my Sierra cup somewhere but I agree with you, thank good for filters. Thanks Steve for your votes
