Bushwacking
We learned enough last year to arrive better prepared. Part of our preparation was bringing an inflatable boat for crossing the canal. While the boat saved us some time, the trails were more water logged than last year slowing our progress. We did finally get to the summit around 1:45. While sitting on the summit a helicopter appeared, circled, and then landed a couple hundred meters away. We were prepared for a long arduous return journey, but watch for my trip report for the story a how the return just took a few minutes!
