This wall guarding Hellroaring Plateau rises nearly 2000' in all, and the sheer part is almost 1500' of granite. No, that's not as big as El Capitan, but here is a wilderness wall that sees few (if any) climbers and is in a spectacular setting that includes cliffs, spires, peaks, lakes, and glaciers and does not include traffic-choked roads. No offense to Yosemite-- it is a cool place-- but here is a great opportunity for some unheralded adventure. The Beartooths have many walls like this one.
