Widow's Creek Falls. The hole at the base of the falls is a great place to cool off in the hotter months.

Peaceful looking

I remember some of these serene spots when I was back east. This shot brings back some great memories. Nice pic.

Peaceful.

On one trip to climb Stone Mountain I came down covered in sweat and grime from the hike (summertime). I then made the short drive and hike to Widows Creek and had the falls all to myself. The pothole beneath the falls is pretty deep--about eight feet or so--and I took a great swim there. Or plunge, actually. The pool is also no more than ten feet across.

I love the southeastern high country. Of course the East is all I know--with the exception of Mount Palomar I've never hiked in the west.
