I did two hikes in Wild Basin this past summer (2009)-Sandbeach Lake and Thunder Lake. I chose Wild Basin on these two occasions because it was fairly obvious that there would be thunderstorms (which there were) and in Wild Basin, I would still be able to get in good hikes without being too exposed. By the time I got to Sandbeach, the cloudss had fallen all the way to the ground so there was virtually no view. I'll have to return in the future. As I arrived at Thunder Lake, it started to rain fairly hard but I could still see the top of Mount Alice. Here are a few of the photos from those hikes.Eventually I'll add some maps and trail descriptions. Please add your own images of any hikes you have taken in the Wild Basin area.
