This horned toad was not pleased to be the object of our interest. After a couple pictures, we let him get back to whatever he was wanting to do. A cute little guy although a bit on the grumpy side. 8-26-09

Wonder how

these little armored lizards got to be called toads? Maybe 'cause they're chubby with the big mouth.

The "chubby" part comes from eating chocolate-
covered ants high in cholesterol.
