The Road Became to much

We made it about halfway up the road until we came to a spot that wasn't possible for our Honda pilot. If you have a truc you don't mind scratching up or a four-wheeler, the rest of the road was great..

Willard Basin Route  Sucess!

This was my 21st Utah county high point, only five left to go! Hiked up from Willard Basin, so it was a short easy hike. I had the trail and summit all to myself, but there were so many noisy people on other trails and roads that it was kind of annoying. Still, the hike itself was nice and the views were outstanding.

It's a trek  Sucess!

Started from North Fork Trailhead, took the unofficial trail up the northwest ridge to the top. Good views, very few people, stopped and chatted a bit with a guy and his dog. Saw a couple of moose and no goats

nice!  Sucess!

with Wasatch Mountain Club group, from campground in Willard Basin. Thanks to Andy for transporting us that far on a snowy/muddy road. Also followed ridge to Inspiration Point of Willard Mountain. Probably the best overall views of the Great Salt Lake that I have ever seen.

Beautiful Day  Sucess!

The drive up to Inspiration Point was beautiful although a little rough. The hike up to Willard Peak was a nice ridge walk for the most part. There are fantastic views from the top. I also hiked over to Ben Lomond from Willard Peak which was nice and relaxing with awesome views the whole way. Overall, the day was the perfect mix of relaxing and challenging.

Via North Ogden Divide  Sucess!

Climbed via North Ogden Divide via Ben Lomond with Kaden Robinson and his friend Parker. Still a ton of snow on the east facing aspects which made for a couple of sketchy snow field traverses and some interesting route finding. Fun and very long day!

No trail to the top

Tried to make it from North Ogden divide. Wasted time walking the trail all the way around (read another trip report to tackle from the west). I didn't realize the altitude loss from Ben Lomand & having to regain on slippery footing. Ran out of time (already 10 miles out) and didn't make the tippy top but got pretty far up before bailing. Would never try doing it from North Ogden divide again - too much wasted mileage and altitude loss after B Lomand.

Craggy  Sucess!

This mountain was very short and we were planning on Doing Ben too. Anyway, the goats on top were nice and the rock was lovely. The smokey views made it so you couldn't see much. Anyway, driving up most of the peak made it easy.

Pretty pile of rocks!  Sucess!

A friend had to get back home, so we didn't have time to traipse across the ridge to Benny. Sad panda!

via Cutler Basin trail  Sucess!

Lots of snow fields made for a fun descent. The route wasn't as steep as I expected. There are great views of Ben Lomond and Willard on the approach. Fun hike. GPS reported 14.3 miles round trip.

Two in One We are thrilled  Sucess!

Brent and I bagged this one and Ben Lomond from North Ogden Canyon. This ended up being a long day but was a beautiful hike with views to die for. Brent put in the boot pack for me from Ben Lomond to Willard. No one had ventured over there that day.

And Ben Lomond

With Jun32 and Jennilyn. We ran about 95% to the top of BL and then power hiked the final push. The sun was just coming out and the views were outstanding. We also ran over and tagged Willard as well and then went back the way we came. We saw 3 Mt. goats and 3 moose up close. What a fantastic route. Total time round trip was 4:30ish.
