Winter has reached the Wasatch Range

Devil Castle and Sugarloaf Peak. Winter has finally arrived in the Wasatch Range. This picture was taken October 28th 2010 shortly before summiting Sugarloaf Peak.

Nice..

I love snow, as long as it stays in pictures.

Are those snow-cat tracks? Why did they
have to go and do that ???

The snowcats drive over the snow at Alta in the early season to keep the snow consolidated and compact to ensure an early opening. Too bad it makes for terrible skiing and ruins the "winterness" of the photograph. Oh well. Happy Trails brother of the south
