"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

Cool little hike with my almost 7 year old.Set off about a quarter to nine. Saw two big black rat snakes and got some cool pictures. My son got his junior ranger badge afterwards at the visitor center. Catoctin is a cool little park.

Good TimesGrew up climbing these boulders with my best friend. We could spend all day on these rocks and Chimney rock. Need to take a trip back the next time I'm in the area.

Not So Big and BadAfter visiting the area several times over the years, I finally noticed that the highest rock column - separated from the rest - actually looks like a wolf. It is a fun, short climb. It looks harder than it really is, which I suspect keeps most people away. So, the general area is called Wolf Rock, and the highest point in that area is a column of rock that resembles a wolf.

Fun!Had a lot of fun scrambling around on these rocks with some friends on October 3, 2008. Did a second hike here on November 22, 2008 with some other friends. Didn't spend much time the second time around. A third time on January 23, 2010 and again not much time spent here since it was getting dark.

Good rocks to play on!!Nice little hike to a good scramble field. At the time I was slightly upset that there was no true view. Now I wish I played on the rocks more.
