Route Climbed: Prospect Heights Date Climbed: September 26, 2005
Beautiful day in the mountains..... first Chugach summit besides Flattop....felt good to rise up out of Anchorage and gain some elevation! I was alone for the whole day until a 59 year old man came chugging up to the summit at a slow jog...he stopped his watch at 70 minutes coming up.... I on the other hand had taken something like 2 1/2 hours coming up at (what I thought) was a brisk hiking pace.....clearly he'd been training harden then I... It's always fun to meet these kind of people in the mountains. For me they serve as inspiration and an example of what I'm capable of in the mountains at my young age of twenty.... After he left the summit, I gave him 15 min.., and started jogging down myself. Monkey see, monkey do.....

First hiked this peak in 1977 and again with the Service High School cross-country running team in 1983. I also climbed this peak with Mark Ando in May 1987 and with Jennifer Summers in the 1990s. Led a MCA trip to the summit on May 11, 2009.
Wolverine Peak was the first peak I climbed on my own.

Route Climbed: From Glen Alps and Over Rusty Point Date Climbed: March 8, 2003
Climbed with Paul Davis from Glen Alps over Rusty Point.
Route Climbed: Rusty Pt. - Wolverine Traverse Date Climbed: January 2005
A great afternoon out in the winter - it was a low snow year, so conditions were great for cramponing. Rusty Point was the perfect blend of challenging and accessible, and the view from Wolverine was icing on the cake!
