Little Cottonwood Creek Trail
No crowds here. Bushwhacking wasn't too bad, but I'd wear pants next time. Nice view of Owens Lake. It actually had water and white caps.

First peak in two months
Coming back from a stress fracture in my foot and looking for some easy sierra peaks. This fit the bill. Drove out from San Jose on friday, too hot to hang out in lone pine that night so I hiked up Wonoga for an awesome sunset. Scrambled up ~class 3 slabs and found the easy route down the north side. Oops.

Beautiful Day
I was supposed to do Trail Peak, Edge of the World, Horseshoe Peak, and hopefully Wonoga Peak which has been on my list for some time.
There was a lot of snow when I got up there though, so I decided to change my plan. I decided to do Wonoga on the way out of Horseshoe Meadow, and then Morris Peak as I crossed back over Walker pass.
I climbed Wonoga, and it was a serious blast. Class 2 route finding, with some class 3 in places, and light-medium bushwhacking. The view is just AWESOME!
Hiked up the meandering south ridge, then climbed to the summit via the south face. On the descent, we took the easier southwest slope back to the creek, which we followed to the car.

Southwest Slope
Turned uphill directly after starting Little Cottonwood Crk trail. I hike/scrambled to the south ridge, then cut across the slope below the summit.
