Watrous Gulch Loop
Haliku and I headed up Woods from point 12,805' (aka Machebeuf) en route to Parnassus. It was great to be out and we managed to make good time to avoid afternoon t-storms.

Watrous, Herman, 12805
We first climbed Watrous Gulch to Woods via the SE ridge from the Parnassas saddle. We then traversed SW over to 12805. We then followed the ridge west to the Pettingell saddle where we met the Contential Divide trail. We followed this trail down into Herman Gulch for the return to the trailhead.

Watrous Gulch
Did this one before work. Windy and cold on top. Went up the eastern ridge and decended the western ridge.
Climbed solo with Mt Parnassus and Bard Peak the Sunday after Thanksgiving to burn off those turkey calories. Day got progressively better after some snow squalls earlier. Windy on the summit though! The clouds started to break enough to get some good views from the summit.
Cut through the trees (which was a mistake) from Herman Gulch and postholed our way above treeline. If nothing else, the variation was a good workout. Great views from the summit. Hiked w/MJP on her b-day.

Via Parnassius
Wasn't sure to hike over this first or go hit Parnassius & Bard first. Glad I left this little 'hill' for last. makes for a nice loop coming back from its higher neighbors. Snow was pretty crappy (soft, greasy and grapple) but at least I had previous tracks to follow in.
