and planning to return in fall of 2013. Great park for sights and sounds "out of the ordinary".

Go Early October
Just back...Done several trips to Yellowstone in early October. Always pretty, always good weather, always no big crowds. The only Joker in the deck is hotels are hard to come by on Columbus Day weekend, especially in W. Yellowstone. Reserve early
One of my favorite parks to visit, lots of wildlife, and who does not like geysers?

Visited with my father
We were in Idaho Falls visiting my sister, so me and my dad went up to Yellowstone for a day. We hit Norris Geyser Basin, the brinks of the Lower Falls and the Upper Falls, and Old Faithful. Lots of tourists on the roads.
I had been to Yellowstone twice before, and it never, ever gets old.

Cool park, but lots of people
Cool place, have been to a few times, but smells real bad... :-)
One of my favorite childhood memories is visiting Yellowstone NP and trying not to breathe through my nose. It was fun seeing all those geothermal areas.

Amazing in the winterSaw so many elk it was unbelievable. Held up by bison on the road and made a quick stop for a moose. Trip to Big Sky.
