Zugspitze seen from SW from Schneefernerkopf. This is the least nice side of the mountain. The snow at the bottom is what remained from Schneeferner glacier and still cariies some ski lifts on this plain called "Zugspitzplatt". The normal hiking route reaches the summit from this side. The ridge that leads to the right is the beginning of Jubilaeumsgrat. (August 2004)
