Summitted at 10:30 am with 17 month old Felicity on my back. She and I both loved the hike. Parts of it were sketchy with a child carrier, but worth every step and every extra pound she added. Felicity fell asleep just before the summit and enjoyed a great summit nap.
Very doable in one day, but it is long and steep. I have also hiked this, staying overnight at about 9,000 feet, it made day two much easier. Usually one can see Mtn goats on the upper part of the mountain.
Have previously attempted at multiple different times of the season. This is the only time it has been completely free of snow.
