A Beginning

9/22/13-- Caroline, 6 1/2, was finally able to fit into a harness, so I took her to where many D.C.-area climbers do their first Class 5 climbs: the Sandbox at Great Falls Park, VA.  The popular 5.4 Sandbox Corner itself is the first technical climb for lots of those people, and it was Caroline's.  Then she struggled up its neighbor, 5.6 Sandbox Crack, in her worn-down Keens (she will get rock shoes in the spring when climbing season resumes).  We're looking forward to doing many more climbs.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
