Aaah, yes...The three-tiered Athabasca Glacier. I remember first visiting it in 2001.

Re: Aaah, yes...Did you climb it? I only got to walk up to it in 2000, and in 2003 I just avoided the crowds altogether and "visited" with a zoom lens. I was with my wife both times and lacked proper equipment, anyway, but I'd love to get back and climb Athabasca or up to the top of the icefield. I think the Canadian Rockies just might be the most ridiculously spectacular mountain country I've ever seen. Where I'd really like to spend some time, and which would probably better suit my skill level, is the Kananaskis Country, which I've only driven through before.

Re: Aaah, yes...I've clmbed Mt. Athabasca, and am looking for an excuse to head back in the near future. Perhaps Andromeda and/or Snow Dome are on the menu.
