General Comments

I have used Nikwax for many years now to proof my Scarpa Alp and Weisshorn Nubuck boots. With the Alps when I first bought them I used the HS12 gel that was recommended but found it messy to use and eventually spoilt the look of the boot (although arguably this is a minor point). I have found the Nikwax product far simpler to use, it has not affected the leather and what is ideal is that it works better when the boots are wet, which invariably they are after cleaning, so you don't have to wait for them to dry out before application. It certainly has played a major part in keeping my feet dry and I highly recommend the product. The only advice I would give is don't over apply, as you will get white 'tide' marks.

Excellent
Used for many years, much simpler and less messy than tradition waxes and silicon based gels and is best used when the boots are wet.

Very good
I have been using this also. My 3 season boots can take 12 hours walk in the snow with no problems. Great stuff for the price.
