The glacier carved Rotmoos Valley

The two striking peaks are the Heuflerkogel (3238m) and Trinkerkogel (3160m). Both about 5 km to the southeast, they are border peaks between Austria and Italy. On this side. The glacier seen here, covering part of their Austrian slopes, is the Rotmoosferner. On the sun exposed Italian side there is no glacier. The nearby slopes on the right belong to the Hangerer. 18 July 2014.
