Ascending South Ridge
Ascending South Ridge
John prepares to steeply ascend the south ridgeline of Microwave Ridge.
Getting up this rocky slope is fairly straightforward, but many climbing parties have lost their sense of direction during descents due to many similar-looking features, cliffs, gullies, etc.
As a result, keeping a map and GPS available is greatly advised.
