First highpoint of the day, 2nd for the weekend. Went to Mount Davis afterwards and did Spruce Knob the day before. I half to admit I did not expect a climb like this. Good view at the top. Signed the log book and enjoyed the trip down. P.S. - Sorry to the person I told they were halfway there when they weren't even a quarter of the way....I lost my sense of distance I guess.

Fun one
Nice hike - lots of up, but not too long. The summit was fun - huge cairn, a mailbox/summit register and a self-portrait camera stand for us solo hikers. Thanks MD.

Cold rainy hike
Coming from Spruce Knob, found the trailhead on 219 in the late afternoon and quickly but carefully managed the slippery logging road in the rain. Unfortunately no view at all due to rain and clouds. HP #17.

Alone in the snow
Routefinding was a little tricky due to the snow cover, which had bent most of the small trees to the ground, covering the trail. I didn't see another soul, but did hear some gunshots in the distance. Other than that, the only sound was snow dropping from tree branches. This was a fun little hike with great winter scenery. HP37
Parked on 219S and hurried up the mountain before dusk but I think I took the long way because it took almost 40 minutes and I was hoofing across the ridge forever. I'm not a fan of the mountain but the peak was respectable. Then I went the wrong way on the way back and came out the developed area and came out by the smallest church. It was pitch black by the time I made it back but I'm in double digits now.
Rainy ugly day, late in the evening, it was pretty dark at the top and very dark when I got to the bottom and I was soaked. Bagged the highpoint though.
