"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Awesome viewsmade the summit in about 35 min. the easiest peak above 11k in the state, by far. incredible views from the top - the Uintas to the East and most of the Wasatch to the West, even though they are probably 70 miles away. Several lakes are visible from the top as well, including the popular Mirror Lake to the east. This would make a great family hike - just be sure to watch your kids at the top!

Route Climbed: Bald Mt. TrailFun, short, popular. Overall happy to have done it. I love the Uinta's, and this peak had great veiws of some really cool peaks and beautiful lakes.

Route Climbed: Bald Mountain Trail Date Climbed: 8/8/05A very easy hike with great views. T-storms brewed up quickly on the hike up, and at the top my camera and trekking poles started making a sound similar to frying bacon. Lots of static in the air! Had to high tail it off!

Route Climbed: Bald Mountain TrailNice easy hike on a good trail. The crux was a small vertical snow climb about 12 feet high with good steps already kicked for us. Awesome Views from an inevitable peak.
The second time, we were in the area so we ran up it for the heck of it.

Route Climbed: From Bald Mountain Trailhead Date Climbed: July 19 2004A short hike to summit just below 12k' with outstanding views in every direction. I elected to leave the trail almost 200' from the summit and climb thru the rocky slabs for a more interesting arrival. East face has some great multi-pitched techincal climbing possibilities.

Route Climbed: Bald Mountain Trail Date Climbed: Oct 20, 2002This is the trail that everyone hikes when they go to the Uintas. The view of Hayden and Agassiz Peak is the best. There was a lot of snow on the summit when we were there.

Route Climbed: Bald Mountain trail Date Climbed: July 19, 1997Easy half day hike. Snow can linger in spots making it a little tricky early in summer. Great views, popular trail, don't expect solitude.

BaldI've climbed this peak many times (Murdock too) including once when I was a small child. It's a great easy peak.
The first time I climbed it was in July 1983 and the last time was September 1 1996.
