The Owyhee Region of Idaho is one of the most diverse areas of the state. From the Snake River at 2300 feet to
Hayden Peak at 8403 feet, this area is one of the most remote in the lower 48 and one of the last to be settled. This broad diversity is home to many different types of birds. Being a major navigational highway for birds, the Snake River brings many varied types of sea birds to the area. Of note are Teals, Stilts, Avocets, Pelicans, and Curlews. Higher up on the tallest peaks of the area are Mountain Bluebirds, Kinglets, Warblers, Tanagers, and Grosbeaks can be found.
Feel free to add photos of birds in the Owyhee area.
