Borrowdale

Picturesque Borrowdale is situated in the northern Lakes running south of Keswick and Derwent Water. It is steeped in climbing history with the first rock climbs being recorded in the 1890s by the Abraham Brothers, Slingsby and OG Jones to name a few. The true potential of the area was truely recognised by the routes pioneered by Bentley Beetham from the 1920s onwards.
For the modern rock climber it offers impeccable rock climbing at all grades from bouldering to multi pitch trad routes.

Parents

Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
