Approach

Starting from the boman trail head 15 miles up lostine river road, make your way to brownie basin as seen on most maps of the area. Go all the way up brownie basin, untill you are at the base of these two points. Scramble your way up to the sandy bush-covered covered saddle between the two peaks, where you cn access both the points

Route Description

Make your way east up the sandy ridge on a easy hike to the eastern summit. Also from the saddle it is a little bit harder of a scramble to the west summit. I suggest dropping a bit south of the ridge down towards maxwell lake in order to avoid snow and rimrocks. From the west peak you will see a small unnamed lake below flagstaff point, as well as maxwell lake to the SSW. Atop the east preak there is a cairn which I put there (because of the lack of any rockpile previously, I was led to believe that I was the first to ever climb this peak). There are breathtaking panormaic views of most of the eagle cap wilderness from these points. And the area is full of Sheep, Goats, Elk Bear, and Deer.

Essential Gear

Good boots and lots of water.
