Whoever is more knowledgeable about Capo Caccia, please take this page and make it a mountain/rock page!Overview
Capo Caccia is a beautiful triangular peninsula on the western coast of Sardinia, a bit NW of Alghero. Limestone rocks are rising some 300 m out of the sea, offering in many crags also possibilities to climbers.
Otherwise the place is mostly known by a spectacular cave Grotta di Nettuno. It is accessed either by boat or by descending from the summit plateau by the famous 656 steps. The opening time is 9:00, that's why we were not waiting on it, being there at 7:00 already. So, I'd like to share here only a few views from the place.
The area of Capo Caccia is also known by its fauna and flora richness. That is why a part of it is protected as a natural reserve.
