A morning hike to Elephants Back, 9,585' Carson Pass Area.

Was up early having camped in the forest east of Hope Valley. From Carson Pass I took a hike down the Pacific Crest Trail a short distance to a smoothly rounded metamorphic peak with a steep north face. The summer storm cloud progression was underway overhead.
