Route Description

This trail leaves Fall River Pass on Trail Ridge and heads up the back side (northwest) of Mt. Chapin. There is a pretty nice trail which leads to the base of the summit cone. From here you'll see your route to the top which is less than a half mile. The route by itself is 1.5 miles roundtrip. To do the trilogy the trip is 7 miles with 2,500ft. of elevation gain. This peak provides a lovely view of the rest of the Mummy Range. Also there are beautiful views of Sundance Mountain to the south and Longs Peak beyond that.

Essential Gear

Good hiking boots, food/water, trekking poles and a camera.
