From South Fork via Dollar Lake
Great winter hike & snowshoeing outing. Used snowshoes to gain Dollar Lake Saddle, then went straight up to the summit. Enjoyed fresh views of the Gorgonio high country.

4 Peaks Tour
Started near SF Meadow TH and headed to Dollar Lake area. Climbed Dollar Couloir to the top. Headed to Little C, Jepson and San G. Winter conditions: 35 mph winds, wind chill in the teens, gropple and low visibility. Great day with Deb and Travis!

The Main Drain of SF Meadows
Took a solo snow climb of Charlton's South Fork Meadows' main drainage gulley. Have skied there many several times but never got the full deal. Great climb (although not quite recuperated from a marathon); found snow quite consolidated and easy to kick-step. Nothing greater than 35 degrees, if that. Low crazy clouds and some winds made for a spectacular display. Took a side trip to Lil Charlton as well. Back to truck in 8 hours. No skis this time. :(

ski tour
Great spring conditions all the way from summit. North aspects were still a little chalky up high. Skis stayed on all the way to Horse Meadows.

Skiing
So many nice gullies to ski on Charlton's north side! I skied up on the east side where someone was nice enough to have broken trail to about 10,000ft. Skiing the gully on the NE side was good.
Pretty views of San G, but again, I doubt this peak has much prominence. The register boxes on Charlton and Little Charlton have had the tops ripped off.
Last peak of the day after Dobbs, Jepson, and Little Charlton. Went back the same way to Vivian Creek TH. Beautiful all day.

Fun Spring snow climb
Was hoping to climb the Dollar Couloir but the recent snow was still unsetteled. Snow shoed up the west ridge from Dollar Saddle.

SF Meadows
Was shooting for Dollar Couloir, but the uncosolidated snow funneled us up via Dollar Saddle. Fun snowshoe from car to summit, made me realize I need to learn to ski.
