Dearborn Trail to Green Mountain Fire Tower

Beautiful day! Two dogs who live at the Dearborn trailhead, Dukey, limping from being hit by a car, and McDuffey, a smaller Toto-like dog, led us up the mountain. September is bee month! I got stung by one while sitting on a rock halfway up. Unfortunately, the fire tower was also nested with some type of bees/wasps, so I dared not climb for a better view...also, it is taped off...either due to the bees or for some safety factor?  steep 1.4 mile ascent! moderate to challenging depending on your health/fitness level...The leaves still have not turned colors, so in another week, it ought to be an even nicer hike!
